The Kingston Companies are a privately-held group of enterprises controlled by its founder, David O. Kingston. There are over 30 total enterprises that make up the Kingston Companies, concentrated in agriculture, aquaculture, real estate development, and power generation.
The vision of the Kingston Companies is to build enterprises which succeed commercially and in an environmentally responsible way. Each of the Kingston Companies operates independently, with coordination across the units directed from the Companies' headquarters in Idaho Falls, ID.
Mike Kingston
Mike Kingston is the President of Kingston & Associates Marketing LLC and a senior executive of the Kingston Companies. He has been an important part of the company since its founding by Mike's brother David O. Kingston in 1977. The Kingston Companies is a private, family-owned business.
A veteran of the produce industry, Mike has worked in all areas of the business, including operations, procurement, transportation, and sales. He was named Vice President of Sales & Marketing in 1990, and became President of Kingston & Associates in 1993. In addition to executive leadership at Kingston, Mike participates in numerous industry initiatives, and was the Director of the Produce Marketing Association Foodservice Division from 1988 to 1991. Mike attended the Executive Marketing Management program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Mike lives in Idaho Falls, ID. Mike, a true outdoorsman, enjoys hunting and fishing, and is an avid golfer.
Richard Reece
Richard Reece has been the Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary of Kingston Companies since 2000. Reece oversees the financial management of the various enterprises that make up the Kingston Companies, including private equity and debt financing.
Born in Lima, Peru, he graduated with honors in accounting from Lehigh University. His early career was with Ernst & Young LLP, the international public accounting firm, where he was a partner in the New York City office specializing in corporate restructures and financial services. Reece left E&Y in 1986 to serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of American Health Companies, Inc., the parent company of Diet Center, Inc. He went on to hold executive positions with Globe Building Materials, Diamond Home Services, and ImproveNet Inc. all companies he helped take public.
An avid reader, Reece is also an aficionado of racquetball and golf.
Brandon Snyder
Brandon Snyder is the COO of Kinngston Companies. Brandon joined Kingston in 2004 working as Executive Assistant to the CEO, Dave Kingston, and then transitioned to a new role focused on business and investment analysis. In 2005, Brandon was asked to lead the development team in Las Vegas and managed the Tuscan Villas and Spanish Palms development project. In addition to the Las Vegas projects, Brandon has also been managing parts of Kingston's Green Island Energy project in Canada, and other start-up businesses in the company's portfolio.
Brandon holds a B.A. in Finance and Marketing from Western Washington University. He is a native of San Diego, CA, and grew up in Seattle, WA. He enjoys golf, biking, hiking, and fishing.
Kari Campos
Kari M. Campos serves as General Counsel to Kingston Companies, an umbrella of worldwide companies. Kingston Companies is a conglomerate of diverse companies including commercial and residential holdings, real property development and management, coast to coast trucking and distributions, green energy power production and recently the purchase and acquisition of the ANB Financial 1.2 Billion Portfolio in a structured transaction from the FDIC. As General Counsel, Kari manages the legal department, and oversees and coordinates all legal work, including real estate transactions, property management, including landlord/tenant relationships, employment and labor law issues, corporate governance and administration, and management of outside counsel. Kari also serves as head of the legal team of Kingston Management Services LLC, a Kingston Company that services the ANB Portfolio. In that capacity she has resolved numbers and diverse legal challenges arising from various loan work out and modifications, purchase and sale of loans, and litigation matters, including but not limited to judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, defensive foreclosure actions, and lender liability claims.
Prior to joining the Kingston Companies, Kari was a partner at Beard St. Clair P.A., one of the top law firms in Idaho, specializing in corporate and real estate transactions. Kari is also a CPA an actively maintains her license in Idaho. Kari received her juris doctorate at Brigham Young University and a BA in accounting from Idaho State University. She is involved in many professional organizations, including the Seventh District Bar Association, and a member of the Idaho State Bar: the Business and Corporate Law Section, and Real Property Section and Association of Corporate Counsel. Kari is also active in her community, participating on non-profit boards and volunteering in many charitable capacities.
Bill Tanner
William (Bill) Tanner, Jr. joined Kingston Companies in 2000 and has served in various capacities throughout his time here at Kingston. Bill currently serves as the corporate controller for all Kingston Companies. His responsibilities are many and varied, including directing the preparation of financial reports, administering financial controls and systems, managing tax compliance and preparation, and human resource management.
Bill was raised on a small farm in Rexburg ID where, as a young man, he helped raise potatoes, hay and cattle. He graduated with a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Idaho State University in 1998. Prior to joining Kingston, Bill served as controller for The Clements Group, LLC in Salt Lake City, UT and served as tax preparer for Searle, Hart and Co, CPAs in Rexburg, ID.
Bill and his wife of 12 years, Kimberly, have been blessed with 6 beautiful children. Cheyenne, Natalie, William III, and triplets Chloe, Madolyn, Jon. Once an avid outdoorsman and hunter, Bill now spends his free time chasing his kids around the family farm.
Ryan Cheney
Ryan Cheney joined Kingston Companies in 2003 as Director of Information Technology. Ryan is responsible for all of Kingston Companies' information architecture and data systems, including electronic commerce, website operations, and server and desktop information resources.
Prior to joining Kingston, Ryan managed IT initiatives for Corda Technologies, where his clients included Fox Sports and the National Cancer Institutes. He also worked in IT for Associated Food Stores in Salt Lake City, UT.
Ryan has been married to his high school sweetheart, Katie. They have four children, Whitney, Quinton, Alyson, and Emilee. In addition to spending time with his family, Ryan enjoys photography, watching movies, and camping.
